Established in 1974, ANCA has been manufacturing and exporting computer numeric control (CNC) tool and cutter grinders since 1986.
Tool and component manufacturers around the world use ANCA’s tool grinders to produce their products. The company exports 99 per cent of its products to organisations across a wide range of industries, including the aerospace, automotive, electronics, medical and woodworking sectors.
In addition to its primary manufacturing site and head office in Melbourne, ANCA has manufacturing sites in Thailand and Taiwan, as well as offices in Brazil, China, Germany, India, Japan, Mexico, UK and the USA.
In 2014–15, the company achieved 39 per cent growth in export sales. The company is on track for a record year of growth, and has hired 160 new employees to meet demand for its CNC machinery.
Most of this new demand was driven by the release of two new machines, FX Linear and MX Linear. The linear motor that drives these new machines was awarded ‘Best Motion System’ in the 2015 Automation Inside Readers’ Choice Awards.
This is the third time ANCA has been awarded the Australian Export Award for Manufacturing, having previously won in 1995 and 2012. Judges highlighted ANCA’s dedication to innovation and growth, and the company’s strong risk management strategy for intellectual property and skills maintenance.
