Sydney-based TTG Transportation Technology provides rail technology and consulting services to optimise the energy efficiency of trains, schedules and rail network capacity.
The company’s solutions span passenger, freight and heavy haul rail, and include products and services for long-term planning to real-time operations. Its flagship Energymiser® Driver Advisory System provides real-time driver advice and web-based reports to reduce energy consumption and emissions by up to 20 per cent or more. It also improves on-time arrivals and network utilisation, and lowers maintenance costs by reducing braking by up to 30 per cent.
TTG’s clients include railway owners, operators and suppliers in the public and private sector, operating in Australia, China, Europe, India, New Zealand, South East Asia, the UK and the USA.
In 2014, TTG won a contract with France’s SNCF to deploy Energymiser® on 2,000 iPads to monitor its TGV high-speed trains. The company was also awarded contracts by Northern Ireland Railway, Network Rail and First ScotRail.
In addition, TTG trialled Energymiser® for DB Schenker, EMT and a coal haulage train network in China; was selected by Hitachi as the preferred supplier to its IEP trains; and shortlisted by Bombardier Transportation to supply Energymiser® globally.
The judges commented that TTG is doing well to sell its smart, innovative technology in a difficult and highly competitive market. They added that its growing market presence in the UK and entry into both the French and Chinese markets provide an excellent basis for future growth.
