Founded in 1998, and recently acquired by Trimble Navigation, Mining Information Systems (MIS) is a developer and vendor of mining software to the resources industry. Its rich suite of products integrate production-related data from disparate systems to provide a unified view of a mine’s operation. The data can be accessed locally, or by regional and global offices in the language and context of their choice. MIS’s software is used in over 50 operations in 18 countries by some of the world’s largest resources companies.
