Incat Tasmania Pty Ltd (TAS)

Incat Tasmania designs and builds high-speed, lightweight aluminium catamarans. Four decades of significant research and development have taken the private company from a small domestic passenger boat builder to a global large-ship exporter. Incat’s recent deliveries include large Ro-Ro ferries to Mols-Linien in Denmark and Sado Kisen in Japan; a 70-metre crew support vessel for a company working in the Caspian Sea oil industry in Azerbaijan; and two ferries to UK’s Thames Clipper. In 2014–15, export sales represented 89 per cent of Incat’s total revenue.
