MDH (QLD)

MDH is a fully integrated beef production company owned and operated by the McDonald family. Geographically dispersed across 11 cattle stations, an irrigated farm and feedlot, MDH runs approximately 170,000 head of cattle and exports beef and live cattle to markets in Asia, Europe, the Middle East and South America. In 2014–15, the company sold 9,000 tonnes of chilled and frozen beef under three brands – Alexander, Wallumba and Wallumba Premium – of which it exported 84 per cent. MDH’s key marketing strategy is customising products to client specifications, enabling it to enter new markets and exceed consumer expectations.
