Cook Medical Australia (QLD)

The world’s largest privately owned medical device company, Cook Medical Australia (CMA) manufactures some of the world’s most advanced endovascular grafts for treating aortic aneurisms. From its manufacturing and R&D facility in Brisbane, CMA exports its patented products to 135 countries. In 2015, the company’s foreign revenue will exceed $84 million, representing 89 per cent of total annual revenue from Australian manufactured product. CMA is also a leader in manufacturing products used in the in vitro fertilisation (IVF) process to assist reproductive health. These products are manufactured in the company’s Brisbane headquarters, where more than 500 staff are employed.
