Monsoon Aquatics (NT)

Monsoon Aquatics exports live fish and coral from Northern Territory waters to overseas markets such as Denmark, France, Germany, Japan, the Netherlands, the UK and the USA. What started in 2008 as a part-time operation from a five-metre boat has grown into a staff of 10 that includes divers, packers and husbandry crew. As well as hand-collecting corals, clams and reef fish for export, Monsoon Aquatics grows corals and clams in its nursery. Exports currently account for 48 per cent of the company’s total annual revenue, and in 2015 Monsoon Aquatics expanded into the Middle East under a new brand specialising in the design and supply of luxury aquariums.
