PAFtec specialises in the design and manufacture of respirators for consumer, medical and industrial use. Founded in 2009, the company created the platform technology for personal respiratory protection – CleanSpace – the world’s smallest powered respirator. CleanSpace is used by companies in a wide range of sectors including asbestos removal, construction, energy, forensics, healthcare, mining, manufacturing and pharmaceuticals. Annual export sales increased 123 per cent in 2014–15 and foreign sales constituted 77 per cent of PAFtec’s total revenue. The company also achieved strong growth in European markets, particularly in Denmark and France.
