Frameskin founder Alan Vogt was inspired by a desire to protect his own bicycles from scratches and chips caused by everyday use. The company produces custom-shaped frame protection products for the bicycle industry and ships its products to 33 countries, primarily Canada, New Zealand and the USA. In 2014–15, Frameskin’s export sales grew by 16 per cent and now comprise 39 per cent of total revenue. The company continues to develop and expand its range of custom-shaped kits to keep pace with the release of new premium carbon bicycles, and has several hundred different kits available for purchase online.
