Sedgman Limited Winners Workplace Presentation
Over 300 Sedgman Limited Brisbane staff attended an in-house lunch for the Australian Export Award Workplace Presentation on Tuesday 22 February. Sedgman won the Large Services Award at the 48th Australian Export Awards and the 2010 Premier of Queensland’s Export Awards. It was a great opportunity to share with staff this great accolodate and to recognise the excellent work Sedgman is doing in delivering services in the global mining sector.

Presenting the Winner’s Certificate to Nick Jukes, Chief Executive Officer was Ian Brazier, Austrade's Senior Export Adviser, Queensland. Also in attendance was, Senior Trade and Investment Queensland Managers Gayle O’Brien and Ray Matta.
Sedgman CEO, Nick Jukes highlighted the significance of Sedgman winning the prestigious state and national awards which recognise the “best of the best” Australian export businesses.
In accepting the certificate, Nick paid tribute to all staff across Sedgman’s regional offices for their contribution to achieving this result. The company's large group of highly skilled staff significantly contributed to their exporting success and enabled the company to expand internationally and execute export contracts

The award is a remarkable achievement for Sedgman as a first-time finalist which accelerated its expansion into international markets following its listing on the Australian Stock Exchange in 2006. Sedgman’s international experience includes working on major coal and metalliferous projects in such diverse regions as South Africa, Mozambique, Botswana, Chile, Columbia and Mongolia.
Staff were asked to contribute a gold coin donation for the lunch, to Sedgman's Flood Appeal which was set up to help those staff members directly affected by the Queensland Floods, with over $430 raised towards the appeal.
